Eat What You Brung Picnic - Sunday 24 June

Leaving at 11.00 from Jack's Cafe on the A30 London Road in Bagshot.

Pack a coke and a scotch egg, or champagne and smoked salmon pate on rye, or just water and a packet of crisps onto your Harley and come along for a picnic; or you could buy your supplies from the M&S Petrol station next to Jack's.

We'll avoid motorways and most town centres for a 45 mile ride lasting about 90 minutes to the Warburg Nature Reserve located 4 miles north-west of Henley-on-Thames; off the A4130 near Bix village; RG9 6BJ. You're most welcome to meet us there if you wish.

High up in the Chiltern hills Warburg Nature Reserve is a remote and magnificent place, rich in exciting plants and animals all through the year. There is a visitor centre, picnic facilities and loos but no cafe. Please note the access road has some potholes to avoid!

If the weather is very hot bring some sun screen but if the forecast is heavy rain then this ride will be cancelled or changed, so if in doubt check before you leave home.

After lunch head out for a walk in the reserve looking for wild orchids, or lie down on the grass chewing the cud and looking out for Red Kites. If you've the time and inclination around 3.00 I'll lead a ride through the Chiltern Hills to Henley-on-Thames where we'll stop for afternoon tea.
