Ride of Respect for PC Andrew Harper

Sunday 27 October 2019

To demonstrate our support for the family of PC Andrew Harper SCUK is going to participate in the official Ride of Respect. Roads Policing Officer PC Harper was only 28 and had been married just four weeks when he was run down and killed on the A4 between Reading and Newbury on Thursday, August 15.

Meet at the M25 Cobham Services MC Parking area from 9 am on Sunday the 27th October. Kickstands up at 9.30 am sharp.

The ride will start from RAF Benson and the entry gates will close at 11.45 sharp and although its only 40 miles of basically motorway the queues to get in may be lengthy and I don’t want to leave anything to chance.

You will not be allowed to enter RAF Benson without registering online first and you must have the document with you. To register click on this Google Docs LINK. There is also a Face Book page with information and another registration link - please note none of this is within the control of SCUK.

The ride itself is just over 16 miles and I’m sure will not be the easiest ride but that’s how it is sometimes.

Who knows how busy or how wet it may or may not be but Mo and I want to do it and we hope others will join us if they can.
